Next Generation Energy Storage Platforms Lab is pursuing a core group of technology leadership in the field of secondary batteries by implementing novel energy storage systems based on new materials.

We investigate technologies relevant clean steel production, scrap recycling, turquoise hydrogen production using high-temperature materials characteristics (thermodynamics, reaction mechanism and kinetics, physicochemical properties) for future net-zero C society.

We design and develop advanced metallic materials with new microstructure for superior and reliable mechanical properties for extreme situation of structural applications and reliability in functional materials.

The Park group is researching and developing lithium-ion rechargeable batteries as well as next-generation energy storage systems for a better world. In particular, we are exploring fundamental science from an atomic point of view, and, based on the insight, building and developing a high-efficiency energy storage system.

We are developing new alloy systems for future mobility, energy industries and reliable social infra-structures by innovative materials design concept based on the theories of thermodynamics/kinetics combined with advanced characterization techniques.
